Is Dr. Malachi Z. York a Liberian Diplomat?

I called the Liberia embassy located in Washington, DC.  They said Dr. Malachi York is never, and was never a Liberian Diplomat. and continued to say that he also never received any honorary diplomatic status from the Liberian Government.

But Nuwaupians continue to say and propagating to masses that he is a Liberian Diplomat.  and that he received his diplomatic statues back in 1997.  Well check out what was on the homepage of today.
Naomi Campbell allegedly received a diamond from the former Liberian leader, Charles Taylor in 1997.  Charles Taylor was the president in 1997.   Charles Taylor is the first former African head of state to face an international war crimes trial.  He is accused of instigating murder, rape, mutilation, sexual slavery, conscription of child soldiers and trading in "blood diamonds" during the 10-year civil war in Sierra Leone, which killed over 250,000 people.

So Nuwaupians are saying that this man Charles Taylor, former Liberian Leader gave Dr. Malachi Z. York Liberian Citizenship?  Why would Dr. Malachi Z. York would want to be associated with such questionable character?  Dr. York didn't even want to hang around Jessee Jackson when he visited Tama-Re.  Because he knew the type of political affiliation Jackson have.

Charles Taylor

Further Reading About Charles Taylor from Wikipedia states:

According to a 2 June 1999, article in The Virginian-Pilot,[8] Taylor had extensive business dealings with American televangelist Pat Robertson during the civil war. According to the article, Taylor gave Robertson the rights to mine for diamonds in Liberia's mineral-rich countryside. According to two Operation Blessing pilots who reported this incident to the Commonwealth of Virginia for investigation in 1994, Robertson used his Operation Blessing planes to haul diamond-mining equipment to his new mines in Liberia, despite the fact that Robertson was telling his 700 Club viewers that the planes were sending relief supplies to the victims of the genocide in Rwanda. The subsequent investigation by the Commonwealth of Virginia concluded that Robertson diverted his ministry's donations to the Liberian diamond-mining operation, but Attorney General of Virginia Mark Earley blocked any potential prosecution against Robertson, as the relief supplies were also sent.  [read more]

Although Charles Taylor is a questionable character, I wonder will they also drag Pat Robertson into court,  because according to the article mentioned above, he's a major contributor of the "Blood Diamonds."
